Review: Siete Salsa Casera- Mild Salsa Roja

I’m back! After a long hiatus I’ve decided to return to blogging and to once again write about natural food and review some of my favorites. A lot has changed since 2018, but some things will always stay the same. One of those things is I love salsa. I eat it almost everyday and I love to try new ones.

Enter, Siete Salsa Casera. I was lucky enough to try the full range of Siete Foods new salsas and let it be clear, I will review each of them starting with the Salsa Casera. This is a mild full bodied salsa with a great cantina style texture that is evocative of an authentic Mexican restaurant. This is more of a Tejano or Tex-Mex style salsa, which makes sense considering Siete is a family/owned business out of Austin, Texas. The texture is thin but never watery, it’s not chunky but not too smooth, and it has a lot of flavor and a hint of spice but it doesn’t overwhelm the palate. It’s definitely has to be one of the best salsas I’ve ever had, it’s very versatile and would be perfect with a whole host of Mexican dishes like tacos burritos quesadillas, breakfast burritos, nachos and of course great with some tortilla chips!

Overall this is a perfect everyday salsa I give it a 10/10!
